Older Briggs Engines

A lot of the older briggs recommend 20w oil which is hard to find at best.Whats the best alternative.10/30,5/20,30w or other recommendations.

Use straight 30.
But frankly, about any oil today is better than what was out there when these engines were built.
The refining process is better.

They only recommend 20 wt in winter, summer recommended wt is 30.
If you want 20 wt though, go to Tractor Supply outlets and they carry the
20 wt.
