palmer self regulating alternator, patent no. 2,117,991

martin H

Hello generator collectors,
I have an old Palmer self regulating alternator, the old brass tag that's very worn and hard to read in some places, reads palmer self regulating alternator, patent no. 2,117,991, model A20-79 ?volt 120-220, amp 40,rpm 1200,phase 3, cycles 15 KVA

It has what looks like a second alternator brush and holder that is broken off the plastic plate that surrounds the front. The wire is still there that would connect to the brush.

Is there a brush and container that I can retrofit or do I need to find the plastic plate?
if anybody can help me w/ this in any way it would be greatly appreciated
