I sure hope we don't experience any server crashes when this starts to close, I've heard horror stories when this happens.

That's good reason to get one's bidding done well before closing time.

I had a great visit with Ken yesterday. Many engines
are more impressive than photos can convey.
Btw...beware using a GPS to find his address...my Garmin
sent me a couple miles away, & then told me to drive off road.
(I didn't.) And don't ever trust Apple's GPS, which can't even
get street names right. Fortunately, I plan trips with googlemaps
beforehand, so I knew what his place looked like.

Lot # 1241 is a misleading item.
It looks to be a 10hp Z, but has a 8 hp 1911 serial number tag.
The Sumter magneto on the engine has a 1916 date on it.

It is a very nice early Z engine, but I hope the high bidder realizes they are not getting a 1911 engine.

I am wondering why you quit bidding, is this meant to be a protest of the system and what do you think is unfair?

#1520 & #1521 have their pictures swapped.
I don't know which torch goes with which description.

The 6" single Rider Ericsson just happens to be the
earliest serial number known. It dates to the 1880s.

Dave - Are you the same Raines I spoke with this morning? Just making sure because I believe it was a different first name. We were emailing at 7am this morning and I see this was posted after 9am.

Is the lot 1004, 1 Hp Springfield engine an original or one of the repo with the heavier flywheels?

That fantastic little 2-hp Gould Shapley & Muir wants to come
home with you. It's even more impressive than the pix show.
