Since yesterday my Wrap Youtube button does not work anymore.

Well i can still upload youtube video’s on Smokstak but only on the old way.

Ctrl - V and Ctrl - C.

I have been virus scanning my computer and it is clean.
I have logged out and it still not works.

I have looked on another computer over here and still not works.

So everybody on Smokstak must have the same problem or.
It could be there is an whale or shark sitting on the big computer cable on the ocean floor from Europe towards North America.....:uhoh:.....:yikes:

Re: Wrap Smokstak Youtube button.

Most likely, you have a problem with your Adobe Flash player.

Go here: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and download a fresh copy of Flash. Be careful to uncheck McAfee and/or TrueKey if you don't want them - they are hitchhikers.

Re: Wrap Smokstak Youtube button (Adobe Flash)

Just updated Adobe Flash player and it still doesn't work. I'm running Google Chrome and it is supposed to auto update Adobe, I think, maybe? Also running Windows 7 Pro.. I have tried to post some of my own movies as a test and they won't show in the preview, just the black empty square. If I use just the link they are OK. https://youtu.be/7DT-OIm_sEw I also tried IE and it didn't work either. Still

Re: Wrap Smokstak Youtube button (Adobe Flash)

Browser issue? Who is running what?

I mostly run Firefox here and Opera and Internet Explorer are available to me. I can also run Safari. As far as Google Chrome, I fired it long ago.

Each browser needs an install of a Flash helper. We are getting into deep do-do here, so dig in!

_____

Added: Sure enough, Safari comes up with the black window. It appears that there are forces out there that are trying to save us from ourselves.

Opera says, Adobe Flash Player is missing, says get it, but it won't do it.

Internet Explorer produces a blank window. We've been had!

Firefox works great! https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Got this message "Flash Player is integrated with Internet Explorer in Windows 10.
You do not need to install Flash Player."

The little test pattern worked. No harm, getting fed up with 10, think I will go back to 7 soon

My main browser is OPERA with IE 11 coming in second and EDGE third.
I also have Chrome but hate it so don't even count it.
I've been running WIN 10 since the upgrade became available.
I haven't had any troubles with any of them so.......

I have Windows 7 and IE 11 on this one and tried Windows 8.1 this morning and with IE 11 all I get is a black box.

I tried Linux Mint with Opera and got the arrow to run adobe flash and clicked it and the arrow changed to the Black box and got nothing. Firefox on Linux got me a black box also. Youtube videos with a hot link work fine on all of them.

What really Ticks me off is with a New Microsoft product you have to download a bunch or viewers/readers to open anything when a Cheep No Name 79 dollar tablet from Shopco opens them all right out of the box

I believe Micro$oft is preparing us for the Day when you will have to Rent Office by the month to open anything

The last MS word reader I can find is dated 2003.

Testing this some more, the embedding code that I use in the routing is:

http://www.youtube.com/v/xvFzmWlOn0s

YouTube is changing this to: https://youtube.googleapis.com/v/xvFzmWlOn0s

and that produces a black screen. Might be that YouTube is trying to tell me something?

This apparently works: http://www.youtube.com/embed/xvFzmWlOn0s
JavaScript must be enabled.

It's enough to make you pull your hair out and I don't have much left!

Got it!

Changed the code from /v/ to /embed/
They must have made a change?

You can also go to full screen from Smokstak now.
It also works on my iPhone.
